  • Michael Cohen said New York’s investigation into the Trump Organization “would end the entire company.”

  • Cohen said investigators have what they need to eventually “finish” the company.

  • Cohen predicted that one or two of Trump’s children would have to “fall for it.”

Michael Cohen, former President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, believes that an investigation into potential fraudulent practices at the Trump Organization will be what will “put an end” to the company.

Cohen, who has worked with Trump and has been his aide and close friend for a decade, spoke to MSNBC’s Chris Hayes on Wednesday, to discuss the ongoing investigation in New York into the Trump Organization.

In 2018, Cohen pleaded guilty to felonies, including tax evasion, campaign finance violations and bank fraud. He was sentenced in December of that year to three years in prison, and was crossed out by the New York Supreme Court in February 2019.

Cohen told MSNBC that the investigation sparked by the New York attorney general’s $250 million civil lawsuit against the Trump family “will eventually end the Trump Organization — Donald, Don Jr., Ivanka, Eric, Weisselberg, McConaughey, and the rest of those.”

“This will put an end to the entire company,” he added.

Cohen referred to Allen Weisselberg, the former chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, who in August admitted to orchestrating a payroll tax evasive scheme at the organization, and Jeff McConaughey, Weisselberg’s right-hand man.

“I’ve been sitting on the mountaintops and screaming for three and a half or four years that the Trump Organization is a criminal enterprise and old Donald dumped me under the bus,” he said.

Cohen also hypothesized that one or two of Trump’s children might have to “fall by the sword” for their father’s sake. Trump’s three older children – Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump – were included in James’ suit.

pointing to Shout Cohen, who received it from James when the lawsuit was announced on Wednesday, said he felt he had “finally secured a confession” for his role in the investigation. James is also seeking to prevent the Trump family from doing business in New York and has accused the former president of inflating his net worth by billions.

Representatives in the Trump Post-Presidency press office and the Trump Organization did not immediately respond to Insider’s requests for comment.
